I am happy to help organize a Family Literacy Night around my novel SARASWATI’S WAY at your school.
Family literacy is important since reading is the leading indicator in determining childrens' success in school and children's reading scores improve when parents are involved in their reading activities.
To prepare students and their parents read the book at home before they attend the Literacy Night. During the Indian-themed evening that may include a classical Indian dance performance and Indian food, I will give a presentation about the novel and answer questions.
