Good start into the first work week of the new year: THE DOG IN THE WOOD was named Society of School Librarians International 2010 Book Award - Honor Book (Language Arts Grades K-6 Novels.)
ALA Washington, DC - June 2010
ALA was wonderful. Time went by quickly with lots of bookish things, meetings and librarians workshops. I signed THE DOG IN THE WOOD and finally met Barbara O'Connor, whose books I love. I hope someday she will come to visit our school in Delhi."
On my way to ALA
I will fly to Washington, DC this week for the annual ALA conference. I'll sign copies of THE DOG IN THE WOOD at the Boyds Mills booth on Saturday, June 26th, from 3:00 to 4:00 and on Sunday, June 27th, from 9:00 to 10:00. On Sunday I will also sign galleys of SARASWATI'S WAY at the Farrar Straus Giroux booth from 10:30 to 11:00. Hope to see you there!
What a great way to start a new month!
